Area Information
- Location:
Kelvington is a town east of Saskatoon.
- Shortly before 1900, the first settlers, the Prouse family, arrived in the area.  They were soon joined by the McQuarries, Hefferns and a few other families.
- The first post office was opened in 1906.  The postmaster was John McQuarrie.  He and his wife chose to name the town for the estate from which they had emigrated in Scotland.
- Kelvington is very much a hockey town, proud to be home of Lloyd Gronsdahl, Barry Melrose, Joe Kocur, Wendel Clark, Kerry Clark, and Kory Kocur. Wikipedia and others
