A large amount of effort has been put into restoring this structure. A plaque with all the information at the nearby patio/gazebo on what was the foundation of the old train station is due to be finished this summer (2006)
Area information
The largest community within a 50 mile [80 km] radius is Montreal which is located about 44 miles [70 km] to the east of Dalhousie Station near the Ontario border. Dalhousie Station is a former railway station in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Built in 1884.Dalhousie Station was named after George Ramsay, 9th Earl of Dalhousie, who was Governor General of Canada from 1825 to 1828.
