Area Information
Lambton Shores is a municipality in Lambton County, Ontario, Canada, that is on the southern shores of Lake Huron. It was formed in 2001 when the towns of Bosanquet and Forest, and the villages of Thedford, Arkona, Ipperwash, Port Franks, Ravenswood and Grand Bend were amalgamated. The largest city in Lambton County is Sarnia, which is located at the mouth of the St. Petrolia is also located in Lambton County.
Independent of the County, but located within the Lambton census division, are three First Nations reserves: Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation, in the Kettle Point area, Aamjiwnaang First Nation, located near many of the refineries in Sarnia's Chemical Valley, Walpole Island, near Wallaceburg.
