Marionville is a rural community in Russell Township, located on the border with the City of Ottawa and North Dundas.
Canada Post considers Marionville to be part of Russell, although the municipality considers Marionville to be separate. The primary communities in Russell Township are Embrun and Russell.
The Township of Russell, Ontario was named in honour of Peter Russell who came to Canada with John Graves Simcoe, the first Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada. Wikipedia
