Tower history
The tower was purchased in 1979 from the Ministry of Natural Resources where it was used for watering seedlings at the Midhurst Provincial Forest Station. The original capacity was75,708 liters, but it had to be cut down to 45,425 liters for the 30 km trip from Midhurst to Hawkestone. Originally the tower was used as a backup water source for Heidi's Campground and as an alternative water source in the event of a fire. It is now used for high speed wireless internet services for the area.
