Tower paint job went wrong
In August 1998 the water tower was painted to look like a hot air balloon with two travellers in the basket. The $100,000 paint job lasted only until the winter of 1998 when it began falling off in chunks. A legal battle followed. The water tower was repainted in 2003.

Area information

Beausejour is a town in t the Municipality of Brokenhead. It is 46 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg, just west of the Canadian Shield and Whiteshell Provincial Park. The French name Beauséjour [beau + séjour] means "beautiful stay".
