The History of the Christian Fish Symbol

- Located south-east of Edmonton, Alberta on Highway 14 about 120 kms, the town of Viking was established in 1909.
The Town and surrounding community was settled by primarily Scandinavian settlers, hence the name "Viking". The communities cultural roots can be seen around town, steeped in history.
The restored CN Station is the Station Gallery where you can enjoy a fine cup of tea or coffee with a meal and then spend time browsing the art gallery with it's unique collection of Scandinavian Rosemaling items.
