What started out as a small collection of water towers in the Halton Region of Ontario, soon turned into a much bigger venture then planned. This site, started in October 2004, has rapidly become THE source for information on existing, as well as "Lost Forever" Water Towers and Standpipes. There is also a section on Surge Towers, Tanks, and Reservoirs. Time permitting, other sections will be added in the future.
Historical and technical information will be added to each tower listing as it becomes available. We are thankful for the help offered by individuals, historical societies, museums, libraries, municipal and provincial governments.

However, the cost of maintaining this web site continues to rise as it grows in size. Sponsors and individual supporters are the life line for this website. Without them the cost of running, maintaining and expanding this site would be prohibitive.

Built: Late 50s, early 60s.
Height:
Capacity: 250,034 liters
Water Source: Groundwater
The tank to the right holds 681,913 liters which is used for fire fighting only.
The tower delivers the 45,460 liters required daily for the plant. The tower and holding tank were built by a textile manufacturing company. Home Hardware took over the facilities in 1980.
